Thursday, November 1, 2018, 5:30 PM – Sunday, November 4, 2018, 4:00 PM
You’ll learn to let go of your preconceptions (what you think you see), develop your ability to perceive real color based on the surrounding colors and way the light is striking, and capture the light and color of your subject no matter what it is. We’ll explore methods for creating rich, expressive color – celebrated from the Impressionist through Contemporary painters – through the practical application of techniques that I’ve developed over nearly 30 years of teaching. Does painting outside sound intriguing but a little overwhelming? Or have you had some experience already but would love to paint on one of the East Coast’s most beautiful barrier islands?
If so, this workshop is for you!
